Who Should Not Take Chlorpromazine?

You should not take chlorpromazine if you:
 
  • Are allergic to chlorpromazine hydrochloride, Thorazine, or any inactive ingredients used in making the medication. Your healthcare provider or pharmacist has a list of the inactive ingredients.
     
  • Are taking large doses of medications or substances that cause significant drowsiness.
