You should not take fluphenazine if you:
 
  • Are allergic to Prolixin, fluphenazine, or any of the inactive ingredients used in making fluphenazine. Your healthcare provider or pharmacist has a list of the inactive ingredients.
     
  • Have subcortical brain damage.
     
  • Have liver disease or a blood disorder.
     
  • Are in a coma or a state of decreased consciousness.
