Invega 1.5 mg Tablets
Invega® (paliperidone) is an atypical antipsychotic medication commonly used for treating symptoms of schizophrenia and schizoaffective disorder. It is available by prescription only and is only approved for use in adults. The medicine comes in tablet form and is available in several different strengths, including:
- 1.5 mg Invega tablets
- 3 mg Invega tablets
- 6 mg Invega tablets
- 9 mg Invega tablets.
The recommended starting Invega dose for schizophrenia treatment or schizoaffective disorder treatment is 6 mg once daily, taken in the morning. If needed, your healthcare provider can increase your dose up to Invega 12 mg once daily. People with kidney disease may need a lower dosage, such as Invega 1.5 mg or 3 mg once daily.
A long-acting injectable form (Invega Sustenna™) is also available and is given just once a month.
