When to Take Invega

Invega® (paliperidone) is an antipsychotic medication used for treating the symptoms of schizophrenia and preventing relapses. It is also approved for treating schizoaffective disorder. It comes in tablet form and is available by prescription only.
 
The recommended starting dose of this medicine for treating schizophrenia is 6 mg, taken once daily in the morning. When you take this medicine, it is important to swallow the tablet whole with water (or other liquids); the tablets are specially designed to slowly release the medication over time and should not be crushed, chewed, or broken. It is important to take your Invega dose at the same time each day to maintain even levels of the drug in your blood.
