If you miss an appointment to receive a dose of Abilify Maintena, contact your healthcare provider as soon as you remember. He or she will tell you what to do. Depending on how much time has passed, you may have to take an oral antipsychotic, such as oral Abilify, for the first two weeks after your dose to help control your symptoms rapidly.
It is very important to try and remember all your scheduled appointments. Your symptoms may return if you miss a dose.
How Should This Medication Be Stored?
Abilify Maintena will be stored by your healthcare provider. It should be stored at room temperature. Make sure to keep this and all other medications out of the reach of children.
Abilify Maintena comes in kits with everything your healthcare provider will need to mix and inject the medication. It comes in two strengths:
