Negative Effects of Risperdal
Although most people tolerate Risperdal® (risperidone) well, it's possible that you may experience negative effects. Because this medication is not suitable for everyone, make sure you talk to your healthcare provider about any possible problems that may apply to you.
For instance, make sure your healthcare provider is aware of any other medical conditions you may have and any other medications you are taking (including non-prescription medications, vitamins, and herbal supplements) before starting treatment with Risperdal. Negative effects of this medication can include potential side effects.
Some of the most common Risperdal side effects include:
Other warnings and precautions apply to women who are pregnant or breastfeeding, as well as people who have certain allergies (including allergies to foods, dyes, or preservatives). Also, you may not be able to take Risperdal if you have certain medical conditions, such as diabetes, epilepsy, or heart disease.
