Risperdal® (risperidone) is a medication commonly used for treating schizophrenia and bipolar disorder. It is also approved to treat the emotional symptoms of autism and to prevent them from returning. Risperdal is available by prescription only and comes in tablet, orally disintegrating tablet, and liquid form. Before your healthcare provider prescribes you the antipsychotic medication, make sure he or she is aware if you are pregnant, have diabetes, or have any allergies.
