If you have bipolar disorder or schizophrenia, your healthcare provider may prescribe Risperdal® (risperidone) to help improve your symptoms. Clinical studies show that the antipsychotic medication is effective at treating mania or mixed episodes and common schizophrenia symptoms, such as hallucinations. The prescription drug is also approved to treat irritability associated with autism. Risperdal is available in a number of different strengths and comes in the form of a liquid, orally disintegrating tablets, and regular tablets.
