A few common side
effects of Risperdal® (
risperidone) include drowsiness, an increased appetite, and upper respiratory tract infections. Some less common side effects include anemia, hair loss, and
asthma.
Although Risperdal side effects are usually minor, certain problems -- such as rapid weight gain, a fast heart rate, or thoughts of suicide -- are more serious and should be reported immediately to your healthcare provider. You should also be sure to let your healthcare provider know if you experience something that "just does not seem right" while taking this drug.
