Problems With Zyprexa

Zyprexa® (olanzapine) is a prescription drug approved for treating schizophrenia and bipolar disorder. Although most people respond well to this medication, problems may occur in some people.
 
A number of side effects have been reported with Zyprexa. In clinical studies, some of the most common side effects that were seen with this medication include heartburn or indigestion, drowsiness, and dry mouth. In most cases, side effects of Zyprexa are mild and either do not require treatment or can be treated easily.
 
Potentially dangerous problems that should be reported to your healthcare provider immediately include excessive or rapid weight gain, dizziness or fainting, a high fever, or abnormal muscle movements.
