Zyprexa 15 mg Tablets
Zyprexa® (olanzapine) is a medication often prescribed for treating schizophrenia and bipolar disorder. It comes in tablet form and is available in several different strengths, including:
- 2.5 mg tablets
- 5 mg tablets
- 7.5 mg tablets
- 10 mg tablets
- 15 mg tablets
- 20 mg tablets.
People being treated for manic or mixed episodes in bipolar disorder typically start with 10 mg or 15 mg Zyprexa tablets once a day. If bipolar disorder symptoms continue after several weeks, your healthcare provider may increase your dosage as needed.
The recommended starting Zyprexa dose for the treatment of schizophrenia is 5 mg to 10 mg once daily. If you start at less than 10 mg of Zyprexa daily, your healthcare provider may increase the dosage to 10 mg within the first few days.
