Zyprexa 2.5 mg Tablets
Zyprexa® (olanzapine) is a prescription medicine commonly used for treating schizophrenia and bipolar disorder. It comes in several forms, including regular tablets and orally disintegrating tablets. Regular Zyprexa tablets are available in the following strengths:
- 2.5 mg Zyprexa tablets
- 5 mg Zyprexa tablets
- 7.5 mg Zyprexa tablets
- 10 mg Zyprexa tablets
- 15 mg Zyprexa tablets
- 20 mg Zyprexa tablets.
The recommended starting Zyprexa dosage for schizophrenia is 5 mg to 10 mg once daily. If you start at less than 10 mg daily, your healthcare provider may increase the dose to 10 mg within the first few days. The recommended starting Zyprexa dose for treating manic or mixed episodes in bipolar disorder is 10 mg to 15 mg once daily. If your symptoms do not improve, your healthcare provider may increase your dosage as needed.
