olanzapine) can cause side effects. Some of the most common side effects of the medication include:
- Drowsiness
- Dry mouth
- Weight gain
- Dizziness.
When side effects do occur with this medicine, they tend to be minor and typically require little or no treatment. However, there are some potentially serious side effects with Zyprexa that require immediate medical attention. Contact your healthcare provider if you experience side effects such as:
- Rapid weight gain
- An unexplained rash
- Difficulty breathing or swallowing
- A high fever
- Irregular heart rhythms.
